LG Chem leads the way in membrane technology.

Thin-film membranes are widely used in water treatment processes as a means of removing contaminants and purifying water from a broad range of sources. LG Chemdevelops and manufactures reverse osmosis (RO) membranes that are widely used invarious applications ranging from seawater desalination to waste water reuse. In May2014, LG Chem acquired NanoH2O, a US-based RO membrane manufacturer known for its innovative thin-film nanocomposite membrane technology that dramatically
improves membrane efficiency and productivity. This unique technology, combined with LG Chem’s experience in roll-to-roll coating, excellence in chemical and polymer manufacturing, and world-class research & development will propel the growth of its NanoH2O™ line of reverse osmosis membranes.

Use of  membrane :

  • Sea Water desalination.
  • Industrial water.
  • Ultra Pure Water.
  • Waste Water reuse.
  • Potable Water.

Advantages

  • LG Chem’s NanoH2O™ line of reverse osmosis membranes feature benign nanoparticles encapsulated into the top polyamide layer.
  • LG Chem’s NanoH2O™ RO membranes deliver the highest flux and the highest salt rejection of any RO membrane on the market.
  • All of LG Chem’s NanoH2O™ RO membranes are Standard 61 certified by NSF international for the production of drinking water.

Our brand pumps that guarantee maximum reliability, flexibility and efficiency. Our key services are positioned in the sectors of Building Services, industrial and Water Utility.

Building services:

When planning modern building services, designers have to consider which solution can be best deployed in which area of building services, they are used in applications such as:

  • Water supply.

Having a good information base and a skilled partner at your disposal makes it possible to avoid problems later on and sets the course for sustained, reliable operation.

Water Utility:

Our brans offer professional solutions for complex requirements in drinking water extraction, water purification, water pumping and sewage disposal.

Our brands pumps and systems for water management continue to set new standards with regard to performance, efficiency and sustainability.

Our brands have developed special pumps and components for water purification systems that are also capable of handling a variety of water compositions and degrees of hardness.

Our high-performance solutions for our partners and users are designed to transport water as far and as efficiently as possible.

Industrial:

Our brands produce pumps that guarantee maximum reliability, flexibility and efficiency. Our strength lies in applications in process supporting peripherals. Here, industry needs cost effective, sustainable solutions and reliable solutions so that the procedure is not unnecessarily interrupted.

We offer a range of products to meet the needs of its customers.  Glass-Fused-to-Steel modular bolted tanks and silos is the premium product and is suitable for municipal, industrial, agricultural, mining and biofuel requirements.  When project budgets demand a less expensive, more economical solution, we can also supply and install high performance tanks

We supply install a full range of GLS tanks, roofs and covers for :

  • Storm Water Retention Tanks.
  • Sludge Tanks.
  • Aeration Tanks.
  • Flow Equalization.
  • Trickling Filter.
REVERSE OSMOSIS
Reverse osmosis (RO) is a water purification technology that uses a semipermeable membrane to
remove ions, molecules and larger particles from drinking water. In reverse osmosis, an applied pres
sure is used to overcome osmotic pressure, a colligative property, that is driven by chemical potential
differences of the solvent, a thermodynamic parameter. Reverse osmosis can remove many types of
dissolved and suspended species from water, including bacteria, and is used in both industrial process
es and the production of potable water. The result is that the solute is retained on the pressurized side
of the membrane and the pure solvent is allowed to pass to the other side. To be "selective", this mem-
brane should not allow large molecules or ions through the pores (holes), but should allow smaller com
ponents of the solution (such as solvent molecules) to pass freely

1-The saline feedwater is drawn from oceanic or underground sources.
2-Water is pre-treated to remove solids and adjust PH level to protect equipment
3-Water is forced through membranes which inhibit the passage of salt
4-Water is post-treated by stabilising the PH level (adjusting the acid/alkalinity)
5-Water is stored and then distributed to communities when it is needed
Sewage treatment
is the process of removing contaminants from wastewater, primarily from householo
sewage. Physical, chemical, and biological processes are used to remove contaminants and produce
treated wastewater (or treated effluent) that is safer for the environment. A by-product of sewage
treatment is usually a semi-solid waste or slurry, called sewage sludge. The sludge has to undergo
further treatment before being suitable for disposal or application to land.
Sewage treatment may also be referred to as wastewater treatment. However, the latter is a broader
term which can also refer to industrial wastewater. For most cities, the sewer system will also carrya
proportion of industrial effluent to the sewage treatment plant which has usually received pre-treatment
at the factories themselves to reduce the pollutant load. If the sewer system is a combined sewer then it
will also carry urban runoff (stormwater) to the sewage treatment plant. Sewage water can travel
towards treatment plants via piping and in a flow aided by gravity and pumps. The first part of filtration
of sewage typically includes a bar screen to filter solids and large objects which are then collected in
dumpsters and disposed of in landfills. Fat and grease is also removed before the primary treatment of
sewage.
